Healthy dogs can now be given to to shelters after they’ve been used for lab experiments. Before this policy change animals were euthanized after they participated in experiments.

This policy change comes after Senator Susan Collins created the Under the Animal Freedom from Testing, Experiments and Research (AFTER) Act which requires laboratories to “place certain animals in rescue shelters and retirement sanctuaries after experimentation and research studies are completed.”

This means that these dogs will be available for adoption, and as Pet Playgrounds customers already know, we love rescues and think this is a GREAT change to the FDA’s rules. So before you go to store or even a breeder contact your local rescue organization and check out some of the amazing dogs available for adoption.

Once you find the perfect rescue for you and your family, get them a REAL physical dog fence so they can run free off-leash! Our kits start at $8 per linear foot. Have questions about our physical mesh fence? Call us at 1-800-985-9202.
