Gas Powered Post Sleeve Drivers

Gas-powered post drivers can make installing your Pet Playgrounds fence system faster and easier, especially when working with multiple posts or sleeves. The options below are examples of popular gas-powered drivers that can be used to drive our posts or post sleeves more efficiently during installation.

Speed Up Your Pet Fence Installation

If you’re installing a larger dog fence, cat enclosure, or backyard pet play area, a gas-powered driver can help reduce manual labor and save time. These tools are designed to drive fence posts and sleeves into the ground quickly, helping you move through the installation process with less effort than using a manual driver.

There are several brands and models available, and the examples below represent some of the more popular options on the market. These links will open in a new window and take you to third-party websites where the tools can be purchased outside of the Pet Playgrounds website.

Important Ground Conditions Note

Gas-powered drivers are helpful, but they will not drive a sleeve through rock. If you have rocky or difficult ground, use a pointed digging bar first to create a pilot hole for the sleeve.

A digging bar lets you test the ground before installing the sleeve. If you hit a large rock that cannot be moved or worked around with the bar, choose another nearby location for the sleeve instead.

Digging bars can typically be found in the shovel section at home improvement stores such as Home Depot or Lowe’s, and they are also available online.

Example Gas-Powered Driver

One example of a compatible gas-powered driver is the Rhino Fence Pro Contractor Bundle with GPD-40 Post Driver. Drivers like this can be used with our standard-size sleeves and large-size sleeves when the driving anvil is inserted into the sleeve. The driving anvil helps prevent peening, bending, or distortion at the top of the sleeve during installation.

You can also view a short customer-submitted YouTube video showing a Rhino post driver being used with our fence sleeves.
