Heavy wall black powder coated ground sleeve for 2 1/2 round posts (same diameter used in our corner posts, end posts or driveway gates). Requires a heavy driving anvil / drive cap tool to properly drive into the ground without damaging the ends.
These sleeves can also be set in concrete. By using ground sleeves for corner posts, end posts and driveway gates, you can make your fence completely removable.
Using a digging bar or ground sleeve auger to pilot a hole into the ground first is also recommended.
Our ground sleeves are heavily galvanized for in-ground longevity to match the life of our fence posts. Ground sleeves spend the entirety of their life in the ground and need the highest level of protection against corrosion. They are then black powder coated.
They have a bottom opening for water to drain out with a post stop and 12" minimum reservoir. During cold weather months, this is important because water can turn to ice and expand. This will burst your sleeve and or move the post out of plumb.
These sleeves also include our (patent pending) locking set screw, making the posts that go inside of them permanent or removable
