These extenders have two flat mounting plates to mount to a flat surface. For example, to a wood fence or aluminum fence. They will gain you 4 feet of additional height after mounting. They also include a welded stop at the top to prevent fencing from sliding down the extender after installation due to weather or animal pressure.
*These are not recommended to install to a round post such as our 1 5/8" or a 2 1/2" chain link post, for example, as they need a flat surface to attach to and would be practically impossible to screw to a round post. We have other products that would work better if you want to use round posts such as our Fence Kits that Extend Up Chain Link Fences.
